Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
This policy explains what Jetsplit ("the app") collects, why, and who it is shared with. Jetsplit is published by Burlap Prairie. By using the app you agree to this policy.
Jetsplit is supported by advertising. To show ads and to measure whether they work, the app and the advertising companies listed below collect certain data from your device, and some of that data is used to track you as Apple defines the term: it can be linked with data from other companies' apps and websites for advertising and measurement purposes.
1. Data collected and used to track you
These categories are collected, are linked to your identity or device, and are used for tracking. They match the "Data Used to Track You" section shown on the app's App Store product page.
| Category | What it is | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Device ID | Advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and vendor identifier | Third-party advertising, developer's advertising, analytics, app functionality |
| Advertising Data | Which ads were requested, shown, clicked, and what they earned | Third-party advertising, developer's advertising, analytics, app functionality |
| Coarse Location | Approximate region derived from your IP address — not precise GPS location | Third-party advertising, developer's advertising, analytics, app functionality |
| Product Interaction | In-app events such as launching the app, finishing a round, and time spent in the app | Third-party advertising, developer's advertising, analytics, app functionality |
| Performance Data | Load times, ad fill and latency, and similar technical measurements | Third-party advertising, developer's advertising, analytics, app functionality |
| User ID | Pseudonymous identifiers generated by the advertising and attribution services below | Third-party advertising, analytics, app functionality |
| Other Data | Device model, operating system version, language, time zone, network type and similar technical attributes | Third-party advertising, developer's advertising, analytics, app functionality |
2. Data collected but not used to track you
| Category | What it is | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Crash Data | Crash and exception reports | Analytics, app functionality, third-party advertising |
| Other Diagnostic Data | Diagnostic logs from the advertising libraries | Analytics, app functionality, developer's advertising, third-party advertising |
| Other Usage Data | Aggregate usage counters | Analytics, third-party advertising |
| Customer Support | Anything you choose to send us by email when you ask for help | App functionality — answering your message |
Jetsplit does not ask for and does not collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, precise location, health data, or payment information.
3. Who receives this data
The data above is collected by software development kits (SDKs) built into the app:
- Adjust — install attribution and event measurement, so we can tell which advertisement brought a user to the app. Privacy policy: adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy
- AppLovin MAX — the advertising mediation layer that decides which ad to show. It passes ad requests on to the advertising networks it mediates, and each of those networks receives the request data and applies its own privacy policy. Privacy policy: applovin.com/privacy
The advertising networks currently mediated in this build are AppLovin, Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, Pangle, Mintegral, InMobi, Chartboost, Moloco, BidMachine, Bigo Ads, Fyber and TikTok. Two of the larger ones publish their policies here: Google and Meta.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone other than the advertising and measurement providers described in this section.
4. Tracking permission and how to turn it off
The first time you open Jetsplit, iOS shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt asking whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- If you allow it, the advertising identifier (IDFA) becomes available to the SDKs above, ads can be personalised, and ad performance can be measured more accurately.
- If you ask the app not to track, the IDFA is not available. You will still see ads, but they will be less relevant, and measurement is limited to non-tracking signals.
Your answer is not final. You can change it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device, and you can turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" there for every app at once. Personalised ads from Apple can be turned off separately in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
5. Data that stays on your device
Your best scores for the timed teardown challenge and the parts quiz, plus your haptics setting and whether you have seen the how-to card, are saved locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is not in any of the categories listed above, is never uploaded to us, and is not shared with the advertising providers.
You can clear your saved scores from inside the app at Settings → RESET BEST SCORES. Deleting the app removes all of this local data from your device.
6. Retention
We do not run our own servers or database for Jetsplit, so we hold no copy of the data described in section 1. It is retained by Adjust, AppLovin and the mediated advertising networks under their own retention schedules, which are described in their privacy policies.
7. Children
Jetsplit is a general-audience aviation app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us at the address below and we will delete what we hold.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data relating to you, and to object to its use for advertising. The most direct control is the tracking setting described in section 4. For anything further, email us and we will pass the request on to the relevant provider and confirm the outcome to you.
9. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or replace an SDK, we update this page and the App Store privacy declaration together, and change the date at the top. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
